The Tourmaline is a set of fortune telling cards. There are forty eight of them. They come in one of two categories: The Hidden and the Revealed.
The Hidden represent unseen forces on our lives. Whether our own subconscious or society's hard to see strings that we sometimes dance on the forces of The Hidden aren't easy to perceive and need some reflection.
The Revealed are things that are closer to the surface. But the purpose of surface is not always what it looks like at first glance. Rough, smooth, and glossy all mean different things in different situations. Appearances can both deceive and reveal.
The card layout on the left has places for seven cards to be placed. The first four to be placed are the four directions: north, east, west and south. These represent the forces of the world upon us. Cards five through seven are the crossroads. Card Five is the influence of the past with six being the future. Card seven represents an immediate answer to an immediate question.
Each card has a name, an illustration, a definition, some keywords, a number from 1-24 and a small story that relates to the hour of the day of the cards number.
